Fit

Made for the three ways people carry every day.

Student & Campus

School and campus backpacks. Designed to sit light and thin — easy to place and remove.

Work & Commute

13–16 inch laptop backpacks and business totes — our first priority format.

Travel & Outdoor

City travel packs and 30–45L bags, for longer days and rougher handling.

Form

One insert. Several formats.

The first release focuses on a primary panel for 13–16 inch work backpacks. The formats shown here are development formats; final fit coverage is defined by the first production batch.

26 cm 37 cm
Format A

Contoured

26 × 37 cm

Arched top, shaped for the back panel and laptop compartment of a work backpack.

25 cm 30 cm
Format B

Cut-corner

25 × 30 cm

Beveled top corners with a square base — for compact commuter packs and smaller compartments.

26 cm 37 cm
Format C

Full-panel

26 × 37 cm

Straight-sided full panel — the largest of the three development formats.

Outlines drawn to scale from current development samples. Final dimensions, weights and fit charts are published with the first production batch.

First prototype

This one exists.

The outlines above are drawings. This is the first Format A panel we actually built — cut, stacked, edge-sealed and covered in our own facility.

Sample panels are left unbranded on purpose. Final dimensions, weight and fit charts are published with the first production batch — not before.

W / H — final dimensions, weights and fit charts are published with the first production batch. Every batch is numbered, recorded and traceable to its material lot.
Placement

It sits between you and the world.

The insert goes into the laptop sleeve or against the back panel — the flattest, most stable part of any backpack, and the part closest to your body.

Nothing is attached, sewn or modified. Slide it in, and the bag looks and works exactly as before. Slide it out in seconds when you do not want it.

Weight, flexibility and comfort are design targets, not afterthoughts — an insert only protects if you actually carry it.

Material & Testing

Built on tested material.

Independently tested at Element U.S. Space & Defense (Belcamp, MD), Project PH00019051, 26 May 2026, to MIL-STD-662F V50 BL(P) under ambient conditions. Test report available on request.

This testing was performed at material level. ArmorEDC products are not NIJ tested, not NIJ certified, and do not appear on the NIJ Compliant Products List. Material performance does not automatically represent the ballistic performance of a finished product.

The NIJ compliance testing program applies to law-enforcement torso body armor models. Bags, backpacks and accessory inserts are outside its scope — no backpack insert from any company is an NIJ certified product. We say this plainly so you can compare products with clear eyes.
